Washing Buffer for Alkaline Phosphatase Enzyme Probes

Michigan Diagnostic LLC recommends that the detection probe in micro titer plates or on membranes be washed with tris buffer at least two times to optimizing the results of the chemiluminescent substrate by alkaline phosphatase enzyme. To make tris buffer, the quality of water is very important. Bacterial contamination of reagents can produce alkaline phosphatase which can contribute to significant backgrounds. Stabilizing Buffer for Alkaline Phosphatase Enzyme

In an extremely sensitive chemiluminescent detection system, the enzyme diluent or buffer stabilizes the enzyme for extended periods of time during the reaction and does not affect the light producing efficiency of the enzyme substrate. For the detection of few molecules of enzyme, it is very important to provide healthy environment to the enzyme. Michigan Diagnostic LLC has developed a diluent for alkaline phosphatase enzyme in which enzyme is stable for several months at very low concentration with out effecting the results if stored properly at 2-6oC.
